At the moment we are booking all our well patient appointments strictly in the morning, between 8am and 1030am. The clinic is cleaned every night and our GPs and nurses will utilize strict infection control practices to ensure the risk of contracting Covid19 is low.
As above, we are booking all well patient appointments in the morning. As GPs we will continue to provide preventative health in this difficult time.
This is a good question, as GPs we will continue to prioritise care of chronic health conditions, but we also have to balance that with what is best for our patients. Our nurses will do chronic disease education and monitoring over the phone where possible, blood tests forms can be emailed direct to you and we ask all patients to rebook/book their chronic disease management appointments as telehealth consults.
For these appointments we are offering telehealth consultations, you can book online or over the phone. Your regular GP will be able to manage your requests from the comfort of your own home over a secure platform. Some patients are eligible for bulkbilled telehealth consultations, (no out of pocket expense). We can now send your script to you electronically as an eScript.
Our lactation consultants can see you at home or via telehealth. Speak with our specialist breast feeding support team at Growlife Medical Highgate Hill for advice on what might suit your requirement.
Our experienced nurse Kay, moves her baby clinic and parents group to the online environment when needed.
We now offer Songlife connections online as well as face to face! Go to SongLife Connections page for updates
If you are very unwell, call 000 and please go to hospital.
After consultation with one of our GPs via telehealth, we may ask you to come in to the clinic for a brief examination or treatment. If this happens you will be asked to remain in your car/outside the clinic until your appointment time, as always we will see you as promptly as possible. If you have a fever or symptoms of a respiratory tract infection you will be placed in an isolation room. You will notice we are enforcing social distancing in the clinic environment and have removed all toys etc. We ask that you wash your hands upon arrival. You will notice that your GP may wear scrubs and a mask, this is for your and their safety.
This is an anxious time for everyone, our team is happy to discuss your concerns via telehealth or if you would like to come in to the clinic, we ask that you come in the morning if possible. Alternatively you can contact lifeline on: 13 11 14
If you have a current mental health care plan our psychology team can also consult via telehealth.
